If you would like to use the Customer Re-Engagement (Infolink) feature, which aims to contact customers who have not placed an order for a certain period of time, it is important to note that MailChimp may work differently than you expect. For example, if you synchronize all customers into a list and use the “Customer Re-Engagement” automation with the setting that you want to contact all customers who have not placed an order for 4 weeks, MailChimp will search your list for customers who have not placed an order for 4 weeks. If a customer has placed the following orders, for example:
10/01/2017 - Order #1
11/15/2017 - Order #2
11/20/2017 - Order #3
If you filter within this automation, e.g. on 11/21/2017, this customer will be included in the selection because the customer had a time window of 4 weeks between order #1 and order #2 without placing an order. If you do not want this, we recommend limiting the synchronization to a specific date using the plugin settings. If you are now on November 21, 2017, install the plugin and start synchronization from November 20, for example, then new orders will be synchronized as soon as they are placed in the shop. After 4 weeks (28 days), the automation would write to customers who placed an order on November 20, 2017, but not after that. After 29 days, the automation would then write to those who placed an order on November 21, but not after that.
